L is for Llwyau Caru

Introducing Letters From Cymru an A-Z series inspired by Welsh language and culture. 

The Welsh word 'Llwyau Caru' translates to 'Lovespoon'. The Lovespoon were often hand carved to make each spoon unique and given to their loves as a token of their love. Alternatively if your whittling skills aren't up to scratch you could gift them a print about lovespoons instead.
